Primary requirement is whether it is clear which way it resolves. It this requires long detailed rules then long details should be there. If it is possible to make it simple and clear that is obviously preferred.

The goal should be the that after the event it is objectively clear how the market should resolve.

Prediction markets should be used for predicting the outcome of interesting real-world future events, instead of predicting whether some random person decides to click on a YES or NO button.

I think a better vote would be between “simple but vague” and “sophisticated but clear” to highlight the trade-off.
