Get humanity to live as sinlessly as possible (since you now know that the devil is literally real)
Fund research into understanding and harnessing the powers of the devil that took your fingers

You have ten trillion dollars and no fingers. Which is more important?

These two options tied in this poll, so this new poll will be used to break the tie. It will run for 6 hours.

This poll will be used to resolve this market.

Oh wow this is still close, I guess I'll make a short fuse market:

You can either try to save people's immortal souls...

or try to take powers of evil that may end really badly.

@HthePenguin Saving peoples' souls could also end badly, for all we know the best way to go to hell is to try to avoid it.

I mean, it's really hard to tell.

Trying to harness the powers of the devil is SHEER HUBRIS!

@Bayesian Hubris is winning now hahaha

@Bayesian But we have no clue what gets people into hell versus heaven... maybe we're already doomed by taking the finger deal.

If anything keeps you out of hell, it's probably directly fucking with the devil. He wouldn't want you.

Oh wow this is still close, I guess I'll make a short fuse market:

@Joshua does the short fuse market resolve to one option only, or to PROB?

Why does it follow that humanity should live sinlessly because the devil is real?

Is it implied that hell is real? All of Christian ontology?

The poll makes it seem like the only new information is that there's some entity out there that will give away lots of money for fingers.

Getting humanity to live as sinlessly as possible seems like a fool's errand without any proof of the devil's existence (beyond the loss of your fingers). Virtue is fleeting, understanding of black magic is eternal! Fund the research and put that shit on arxiv. Sufficient understanding of the devil is probably your best path to convincing humanity to live sinlessly anyway.

Any “devil” who offers 10T dollars for your fingers doesn’t seem actually evil. So I think you now have to question the basic tenets of Christianity.
