The Internet Archive is a nonprofit that digitizes books and grants public access to them. It was sued by publishers in 2023 for copyright infringement, and many writers criticized the Archive, calling it piracy.
The court ruled in favor of the publishers, but in December 2023, the Internet Archive appealed the decision, and many other organizations supported it in Amicus briefs.
This will resolve Yes if, by January 31, 2025, someone links an article showing that a judge heard and ruled on the appeal in 2024. Settlements do not count. Otherwise, this will resolve No.
