Given this information, will Alphabet/Google undergo a meaningful divestiture of their Android OS before January 1st, 2027?
This will resolve to ‘Yes’ if they no longer own a majority interest in their mobile OS which is currently running on devices from manufacturers beyond Google’s own Pixel products. This will also resolve to ‘Yes’ even if Google retains the Android name for their own devices as long as the open source version is sold/spun off.
