I will disperse bounties for suggesting cities that I do visit, based on their rank in this market upon resolution.

I am a 34 year old software engineer, have worked Boeing -> Microsoft -> Amazon, and am financially comfortable for the moderate-term. Currently undecided when I will try to return to gainful employment, but it would very likely be in the tech sector.

I moved out of Seattle (where I have lived for 8 years) on 8/9 with a plan to drive my Tesla solo through all 48 states, spending 2-9 days in each, camping at state parks, airBnBs in cities. My trip officially started on April 18, but I only decided to be a full nomad in August.

On this trip I will write more on my blog (link in bio), work on my side project (llm-based interface & memory feature & scaffold), and talk to strangers about their corner of the world.

This question asks which of the five midwest-central destinations I will most enjoy my time in.

I will not bet in this market.

Can we suggest sights to see at the destinations?

@ImaPerson absolutely, happy to get recommendations.

@JoeandSeth of these cities, I've only spent time in St. Louis. I always have to recommend the City Museum. It's not really a museum, or about the city. It's like a giant combined playground and art installation, full of huge climbable sculptures and tunnels to explore. Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure, and probably usually busy with children. I also can't speak to what it's like for folks of various body sizes or mobility levels. But for me, as an adult (and slightly claustrophobic), it was really fun and unique.

@ImaPerson I actually lived in st Louis for 3 years - the city museum was one of the coolest places in town, yeah
