Will Anthropic's market cap increase in each of these months from open on the first day to close on the last day?
Resolution criteria
Source of Truth: The market capitalization of Anthropic will be determined using data from Yahoo Finance or Google Finance using its official ticker symbol once it is public and listed.
Monthly Outcomes:
YES: Resolved for any month where Anthropic's market capitalization at the close of the last trading day of the month is higher than its market capitalization at the open of the first trading day of that month.
NO: Resolved for any month where Anthropic's market capitalization at the close of the last trading day of the month is equal to or lower than its market capitalization at the open of the first trading day of that month.
N/A: Resolved for any month that ends before Anthropic's initial public offering (IPO) has occurred and public trading has commenced.
IPO Month Edge Case: For the calendar month in which the IPO actually takes place, the "open on the first day" will be measured from the opening market capitalization (or stock price) on its first day of public trading.
Proxy Rule: If historical daily market capitalization data is difficult to verify directly, the opening and closing stock prices on the respective days will be used as a proxy, assuming no major changes in outstanding share count occurred during that specific month.
Background
On June 1, 2026, Anthropic officially submitted a confidential draft Form S-1 registration statement to the SEC for a proposed initial public offering.
This move followed a historic $65 billion Series H funding round announced on May 28, 2026, which valued the company at $965 billion post-money. This positioning makes Anthropic a candidate for a public market debut targeting a valuation north of $1 trillion.
Since the exact date of the IPO is yet to be finalized, any month that concludes prior to the public listing will resolve to N/A.
