The MTG set The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth was released on June 23rd. There's a promotional version of The One Ring card in a random collector booster pack, of which only a single one exists.

The highest price for a previous Magic card was $511,100. Someone has offered to pay two million euros for The One Ring (currently around $2.2 million).

Will The One Ring be reported to have sold or changed ownership in a way that values the card at two million dollars or more by the end of August?

Resolves N/A if there's no report that it has been found by then.

We now have a good evidence that the card has been sold, and it was likely above 2 million given the other public offers for more. However, there’s no evidence to support the 2.6 million number. I will continue waiting for now to see if evidence about the sale price comes out. If there is no evidence soon, I will resolve to my best judgment.

From the article linked below:

“a comment in the video states that the card was sold for 2.6 Million but until either men confirm it, it is speculation.”

In the comments on the referenced TikTok, another user asks TartTizzle (the source of the 2.6 million number) what there source is. TartTizzle says “ I 100% made this up after not finding the info. I just wanted some free likes”

Card was sold to PostMalone for $2.6 million: https://nichegamer.com/the-1-of-1-mtg-one-ring-has-been-sold/

Really tempted to break my "no more betting" rule just to correct this terribly-priced market.

predicted YES

predicted NO

@IsaacKing Why do you think it's terribly priced?
