We are located in Massachusetts. In the decade plus that we have lived in this house, we have always turned on the furnace before this date. We have kids, but they are not little anymore and generate quite a bit of heat on their own. 😜 In the past, we have usually caved and turned on the heat because we were entertaining, and we thought it’d be weird to force our guests to freeze with us.
I will not bet in this market.
Edit: my wife feels very strongly that we can make it far past this date with no heat, yet we never have.
I will post periodic indoor temperatures. On September 7, the indoor temperature is 74 Fahrenheit.
1,000@traders weekly update: it’s 64 degrees in the house and it’s cold in here. Wife very much committed to this but I am ready to flip on the heat. Major nor’easter affecting us, so it’s going to be chilly for a while.
@traders weekly update: it’s 70 (21 C) degrees in my house. Again, we had to flip on the AC one night. But, the weather is turning colder with highs barely making it into the 60s and lows in the 40s.
