Background
In late May 2026, Anthropic closed a historic $65 billion Series H funding round led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, valuing the company at a post-money valuation of $965 billion. Driven by explosive enterprise demand for Claude Code, Anthropic reported that its annualized revenue run rate had crossed $47 billion in May 2026.
In early June 2026, Anthropic confidentially filed a draft S-1 registration statement with the SEC, paving the way for a potential initial public offering (IPO). This market allows traders to predict whether Anthropic's valuation will break past the trillion-dollar milestone or face a market correction by the end of 2027.
