Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the incoming Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, has publicly advocated for banning pharmaceutical advertising on TV. He has mentioned this intention in various public statements, suggesting he would advise Trump to implement such a ban.
@JeffBerman I don't understand why you would bet so much on "pharma ads" being banned in 2025. It really makes me nervous
@JeffBerman I think you have the power to give "Not in 2025" a 1% resolution if barely anything happens
@JeffBerman No that’s unfair. The criteria is clearly that this resolves YES if pharma ads are banned in general, not specific cases. If you wanted specific cases to count you should’ve included that in the title or desc
@luvkprovider The criteria says nothing about whether the ads are banned in general or in specific cases.
@JeffBerman "Will pharma ads be banned from U.S television in 2025" obviously means that pharma ads have to be banned from tv in general to count
@JeffBerman For example, if only SSRI ads are banned then this would have to resolve "Not in 2025" because the question says "pharma ads" not SSRIs. Same for any other specific types of pharma ads
