Godot is an up and coming open source Game Engine which offers a lot of flexibility for developers and can run on many devices.

However, in the past especially indie games that rose to fame in the Steam Shop have been made using Unity and it's large ecosystem.

But on the other hand both Unreal Engine and Unity frustrate indie devs in a lot of regards, especially pricing. So all in all, 2024 could be a true turning point and I want your insight on this.
