Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to YES if Republican Senator Susan Collins and Democratic nominee Graham Platner participate in at least one head-to-head debate during the 2026 general election campaign for the U.S. Senate in Maine.

To qualify, the debate must:

  • Occur on or before November 3, 2026.

  • Feature both Susan Collins and Graham Platner participating simultaneously (either in person or via live video feed) in a moderated format. Sequential candidate forums or town halls where the candidates do not share a stage or debate each other do not qualify.

  • Be broadcast or livestreamed by a recognized media organization, civic group, or educational institution.

If no such debate takes place on or before November 3, 2026, this market will resolve to NO. Credible reports from local and national news outlets (such as the Portland Press Herald or Bangor Daily News) will be used as the primary sources of truth.

Market's at 1%; we've got it 17%.

Luna - YES (10.0): No qualifying head-to-head debate is confirmed, but the general-election campaign continues through November 3 and incumbent-nominee debates remain common.

A devastating argument, Jack. I’ll mark down “laughing emojis” as a strong case for YES.
