Will Midjourney be forced to exclude some artists from training data by 2026?

There is presently a law suit by artists against Midjourney for copyright theft. I am curious whether (as a result of this court process or not) the Midjourney will be forced to remove images of particular artist or artists from their training data.

If it does not happen by 1.1.2026, the question will resolve as NO.

If they remove the artists by court order, the question resolves YES.

If they remove the artists by their own choice, but plausibly based on some pressures of fines they received earlier, the question will resolve YES. (There needs to be credible media articles about the fines or similar pressures on them).

If they remove the artists by their own choice without any significant fines or pressures reported in credible media, the question resolves NO.

If they remove the artists by their own choice and the point about pressures and fines is very unclear, the market resolves as N/A.

In all cases where I would resolve YES, it suffices if it happens only in either all of EU or in all of USA. Smaller organizational units (individual states or countries) are not enough for the resolution as YES. (E.g. Midjourney having different model for France and the rest of the world with France model not having some artists would not trigger YES). Other regions of the world will not be basis of the YES resolution. (E.g. China having restricted model and the rest of the world will not trigger YES resolution.)

The fact should be announced in credible media or by Midjourney themselves.
