WalkYourTime is an Android app that converts your daily step count into screen time rewards, the more you walk, the more you can use your phone.
๐ Launched: March 27, 2026
๐ฑ Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.filbanfi.walkyourtime
๐ป GitHub: github.com/filbanfi/walkyourtime
How it works: The app tracks steps via the device's step counter sensor and uses an Accessibility Service to enforce app blocking until the daily step goal is met. It supports Monet dynamic theming, 30+ languages, and is licensed under GPL v3.
Resolution criteria:
This market resolves to whichever bucket contains the date on which WalkYourTime's Play Store listing first shows 100+ downloads (installs). I will resolve based on the Google Play Console install count visible to me as the developer. I will resolve promptly once the milestone is reached, or to the last bucket if it hasn't been reached by Jan 2031.
Current status (as of market creation, April 2026): The app has been live for ~2 weeks post-launch. Downloads are in early single digits.
Why bet here?
Getting to 100 downloads as an indie developer with no marketing budget is genuinely uncertain. Growth could come from word of mouth, app store discovery, social media, or scholarship/press coverage. Or it could take years. Your call.
