This market resolves to YES if the Faith-Based Affordable Housing Act (S3397/A3647) is passed by both the New York State Senate and Assembly and signed into law by the Governor during the 2025 legislative session. The market resolves to NO if the bill fails to pass both chambers or is vetoed without an override by the end of the 2025 legislative session.

The Faith-Based Affordable Housing Act aims to empower religious organizations to develop affordable housing on their properties by streamlining zoning processes. It's modeled after California's Affordable Housing on Faith Lands Act and is being positioned as a less divisive approach to address New York's housing crisis. It's the only major housing bill being pushed by pro-housing groups this year in the New York State Legislature.

Legislative sessions usually run from January through June in New York. If the scheduled session is extended for any reason, this market will be extended as well.
