This question resolves at the announcement of such a suspension. It does not matter when the suspension is carried out or whether the suspension is later appealed.

The suspension doesn't need to be specifically for gambling, but the official league announcement needs to include language that the suspension is for gambling related activity. Language like "violated the leagues gambling policy" would count.
