@deagol he just forgot to change the close time, many such cases
dunno why manifold took away exact close time from question creation
@deagol yes its changed now.
EDIT: Also this question is the weekly btc question. The title and close reflects the correct date.
@Haws thanks. Just one thing, precisely this Sunday Nov 5 (at 2:00 AM), EDT stops and EST starts, the clock gets set back an hour (from UTC-4 to UTC-5). The market right now shows it will close at 8pm for me (UTC-4) which is an hour later than stated in the description, although I can’t really tell if the Google price close will happen at that time or an hour later due to the clocks changing. Anyway, I suppose it’ll get sorted out by Sunday.
@deagol I hate Daylight Savings for silly reason like this. Just like the standard vs metric crap.
@Haws it seems to me the question close will coincide with the BTC daily price close (both at 12am UTC or 7pm EST)
@deagol I believe (and I could be super wrong) that google closes their daily chart at 8 regardless. I am looking into it though. This question closes off google's daily price.
If I am not understanding what you mean can you ELI5? I get UTC doesn't change.
@Haws yea, I think we are understanding each other, it’s just I thought the close Google would use was at 12am UTC (as happens in other platforms e.g. coingecko’s historical data)
@deagol well now I am not sure. It might be the case that google closes at 7 EST. This is my first daylight savings time change with these questions and I've always used Tradingview in the past so I never thought about it...
I may be changing these close times.
@Haws I still have not looked into it, but for the next few days, I think it is fine if it closes a bit off while it is figured out. I love the earlier dark in the evening but I hate the clock change BS twice a year lol.
@SirCryptomind Literally the most confusing time of year. But I agree, ill just wait and see what it does, if it's off today its off.
