In September of 2022, two natural gas pipelines from Russia to Germany were destroyed in an apparent act of sabotage. This question covers whether other critical natural gas infrastructure is in danger.

A liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal is a facility which either uses liquefaction or re-gasification to transport natural gas, usually via ship.

This question resolves as "YES" if a LNG terminal which does international importing or exporting is destroyed for any reason. A LNG terminal is "destroyed" if it sustains damage that prevents it from operating and it requires three or more months of work to make the LNG terminal operational again.

Note that this question covers LNG terminals anywhere in the world.

Since it is very difficult to determine whether the destruction of a LNG terminal was intentional or accidental, the question will be resolved as "YES" if the destruction occurs for any reason, including an accident.

This question does not require all of the LNG terminals at a port to be destroyed. If the LNG import/export capabilities of a port are materially impaired by the destruction of some part of the LNG terminal, then this question will be marked as "YES." Any reduction in daily import or export volume of greater than 5% will be considered a material impairment.

The data for resolving this claim should come from a reputable financial newspaper such as the Wall Street Journal or Financial Times of London or a reputable energy industry trade publication.

The burden of proof lies on the "YES" claim. If no data appears to support the "YES" claim, then the question will be resolved as "NO" after the question's end date.
