Betting NO at 12%. The ECB's own published timeline makes a 2026 launch essentially impossible:

  • Legislation adoption: Still pending in 2026

  • Technical standards: Summer 2026

  • PSP selection finalized: June 2026

  • Pilot exercise: Second half of 2027 (12 months)

  • Potential first issuance: 2029

The pilot hasn't even started. The counterparty selection process isn't done until mid-2026. There is no political or economic emergency that would accelerate this by 3+ years. The ECB's own roadmap puts first issuance at 2029 — three years after this market closes.
