If the debate occurs before April 1 that is enough. The timing of when it is broadcast to the public is not relevant. Must occur live through a voice/video call, or happen IRL (not twitter). Both debaters have to show up to the debate and exchange any amount of words, but if someone runs or has technical issues after that, it will still count.
