I currently have an iPhone 13. It mostly suits me, but the battery is weak (about 75% health; I might replace it) and sometimes I have performance issues, especially in the browser (maybe related to the battery?). I’m fine with Liquid Glass, I don’t see that as a detractor (and my phone is up to date).

I don’t intend to switch any time soon, I’d rather not spend the money, but all else equal I’d like a newer phone. However, I might need to switch, like if my phone breaks or if Apple stops providing security updates. I am financially able to buy a new phone, but it’s not a trivial purchase, and an economic downturn would make me much less willing to upgrade. My phone screen has rarely broke in the past, but I don’t have a screen protector. Unsure if a screen crack would make me replace it, it depends on the size of the crack. I do have a case though.

My past phones were an iPhone 6 (first smart phone), iPhone X (upgraded for performance and features), and this iPhone 13 (upgraded when the previous camera fully died).

I probably won’t get an Android, I like iOS and don’t see Google as any better than Apple. I would probably also get a new phone or a refurbished phone sold by the manufacturer.

I will do my best not to base my decisions on this market, and I will not hold a position in the market.

Resolves YES for any options remaining when I have a different phone as my daily driver (or no phone at all for a meaningful period of time, though that seems unlikely). Resolves NO for an option when the date passes and I’m still using my current phone. It is possible for all options to resolve NO, if I’m still using my phone into 2030.
