I will see who resolves this bet first. If it is Manifold, the bet will resolve as 'yes' and if it is me, the bet will resolve as 'no'.

You can bet from 11/16/2024 until 11/18/2024, if not longer. Manifold may resolve the bet from 11/18/2024 onward. If I find this bet unresolved, I will resolve it on or after 12/03/2024.

I don't really know how resolution works on Manifold, so this is me testing the platform since I couldn't find the answers online.

Concerns: What would happen if after posting a question, a poster suddenly died, broke their phone, lost their password, or just got bored and forgot about it? Who would resolve the bet?

Any insight you could provide in the comments would be appreciated.

Do you intend to actively avoid resolving it yourself?

@TheAllMemeingEye Only so far as what I wrote in the description. I do plan to resolve on Dec 3rd. If I forget, it will be like the next day.

@Gabe5QqA they'll only resolve if OP (you) doesn't reply anymore, given you already stated you intend on resolving at that date, I doubt any mod will resolve before that (if you disappear and don't resolve during December then yea they will resolve)

If a user is inactive someone just pings mods in the comments and they will resolve it. I’ve seen it happen before, it’s not uncommon.
