Resolves true if there's any way to do that, at time of market close.
Jul 10, 10:26pm: If it's possible to short answers on new free response markets but not on existing ones, this market will still resolve to yes.
If there's some feature that's mostly but not fully equivalent to shorting an answer (e.g. a way to automatically buy all other answers), I'll resolve PROB according to close I think it comes to fulfilling the purposes shorting would be used for.

I certainly hope this will happen. The lack of this feature is the main reason why free-response markets in their current state kinda suck imo.

I don’t have a lot of confidence in what the Manifold team will actually do, but I think it would be a good idea.
Yeah, it's probably the feature I'd most like to see added, and has been for a while.
I'm confident that the Manifold team will add something of the kind eventually (maybe with CFMM for free-response markets?), but don't really expect it to be soon.
