https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pull-up
Beginning by hanging from the bar, the body is pulled up vertically. From the top position, the participant lowers their body until the arms and shoulders are fully extended. The end range of motion at the top end may be chin over bar or higher, such as chest to bar.
Update 2025-12-09 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Creator indicates they would be more forgiving if RFK Jr. gets:
Chin above the bar AND
Elbows past 90 degrees
However, the creator states they are going with the Wikipedia definition as written in the description (which requires full arm and shoulder extension).
I've gone and watched all the clips I can find of rfk doing pull ups (lol), and he does seem allergic to full arm extension. Two possibilities I can see: a) he can't extend all the way due to joint issues b) he's doing it on purpose so he can do more reps. I think the latter is most likely. I'm hoping enough people are calling him out for it that he'll eventually demonstrate a pull up with better form.
@retr0id he also seems allergic to chin above the bar, though I suspect you've now watched more of his pullups than I have.
I'd probably be more forgiving if he got chin above the bar and elbows past 90 degrees. But he we are, and I went looking for the Wikipedia definition, so that's what I'm going with.
@EvanDaniel yeah full arm extension is brutal, but the chin above bar is like the basic thing anybody will use to say whether it counts or not
