Bet UP if you think it will die. 100% means it definitely will die first, 0% means you think it is safe.
Whenever a place goes out of business I will set the price to 100%; this happens as soon as it's out of business and the doors are permanently closed.
I will do this for each of the first 5 places to die.
Once 5 have died, the remainders resolve to 0%.
"Die" means the place has moved significantly (not easy walking distance), is out of business, is closed & boarded up, or has changed name and style significantly.
No end date, will keep open til at least 5 are dead.
I will update status as time goes by.

@lag yes. We haven't found enough people in San Mateo to take some risks.
Most of these places seem to be thriving, though. So it may take a while.

@Ernie some of them might be fronts for money laundering, so it's hard to go by just how well they seem to be doing. At least this is my guess for how so many stores on Valencia St with zero customers seem to manage to pay the high rent and continue to defy death.
@KirubakaranAthmanathan yes, interesting
google maps showed me places I tend to go a lot. I've been to most of them at least 5 times, and to some 50+ times. I don't know if that's a new feature or if it was always that way. But at least at one point, each of those places offered something that I liked.
