Other Bugs
The one where when an image has been generated, reopening a query session still shows the entire animation, sped up, wasting time. If the image link already exists just show it. Don't magically "speed up" the loader js to help me. Just show the image when the tab loads.
The one where if an image generation is bugged and you rejoin the tab, the js will pretend to resubmit it and show the spinner forever, never completing til you refresh
The one where if you start a new chat it never appears in the chat list until you refresh so if you switch convos you can't return back to it til you page refresh to let the sidebar load. Tl;Dr the sidebar isn't autouodating and gets super out of date.
The crazy useless draggability of the chat list sidebar which doesn't work and also slows down responsiveness to mouse clicks.
The fact that twofinger zoom won't work in their js img display lib. As if none of them ever do this to look more closely at an image. I just save them use a real program to zoom.
How on web they intentionally set a css rule to only show six lines of the prompt, even after user clocks an icon whose only function is to show the prompt. Talk about ignoring an obvious user desire! Luckily you can fix this with Firefox by setting an easy global css rule. And also chatGPT is great at explaining how to set this up.
This market
This is about whether they dogfood and proof comes out. There are so many annoying bugs with their UI that I can't imagine they use internally. Very likely they use an internal UI which is miles better than what they provide the public.
That said, I should just make my own UI already and stop complaining.
Yes if a better public UI is released or big issues with the current one are fixed by mid 2024 or if somehow info that they do dogfood comes out.
