Resolution Criteria

This market resolves YES if, by December 31, 2025, Eric Adams publicly declares he is no longer a Democrat, officially changes his party registration, or formally joins another political party. It resolves NO if he continues to identify as a Democrat through the end of 2025.

Background

Eric Adams is currently the Mayor of New York City and a registered Democrat. In April 2024, Adams announced he would run for reelection in 2025 as an independent candidate, bypassing the Democratic primary. Despite this decision to run as an independent, he has not formally changed his party affiliation or publicly renounced his Democratic identity as of April 2024.
