@Eliza Looks like things have shifted since that comment, with several users essentially betting against the current leader, McNulty.

Due to the unfavourable weather conditions in the Alpes-Maritimes department and according to the weather forecast for the weekend, and in order to ensure the safety of the riders, the #ParisNice organising teams, in agreement with the city of Nice, the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropole, the Alpes-Maritimes Prefecture and after consulting the panel of commissaires of the International Cycling Union (UCI), the representatives of the teams and riders (AIGCP, CPA), have decided to modify the route of stage 7. The finish will take place at the summit of the Madone d'Utelle, which offers an ascent of 15.3 km at an average of 5.7 pc, with some sections at 8 pc. The Madone d'Utelle has already hosted Paris-Nice, in 2016. Ilnur Zakarin had raised his arms in front of Geraint Thomas and Alberto Contador. Starting from Nice, the riders will have a hard day ahead of them with a 104-km stage and 2,000 metres of elevation. The first 89 kilometres of the initial stage have been retained. At Saint-Jean La Rivière, the riders will find themselves at the foot of the final climb, which promises a spectacular final battle between the favourites for the general classification.

Basically, first 89km the same, then the climbs are chopped off and a different climb finish instead.

I put Bernal back up to 5% -- if he is 5% to win the TDF he's got to be 5% to take 10 seconds on Remco somehow!

I couldn't see the stage, but it looks like Bora got destroyed in the TTT almost one minute lost, that's probably it for Roglic ☹ but it is not all set for Remco. UAE has two GC-ish riders (Almeida and McNulty) ahead with 18 seconds, and Egan is 2 seconds behind.

@egroj 4 riders if you count Jay Vine and Finn Fisher-Black (he podium-ed at Tour of Oman and AlUla). I like UAE's odds, keep those guys close to Remco and Egan, let the leader tomorrow go to the breakaway, there's a bunch of knuckleheads that will try to control tomorrow (Movistar being Movistar will defend Guerrero's 50th position 😂 ) and Thursday and Friday is the sprinter's teams job, so you can rest until Saturday. Then on Saturday, attack Remco with those 4 guys one after the other at Auron, to see if he breaks.

Tomorrow should be a great stage, I hope that Roglic tries something epic.
