There have been over a hundred apparently related false reports of active shooters in American schools over the past 4 weeks. They are masked by a VPN, but they appeared to be coming from Internet-based phone numbers, and the caller has an accent. Who's doing this?

I missed a bit of Torswats information that may relevant; looking into thing, and may resolve soon. Please let me know if you have relevant information.

@Duncn I haven't been able to clearly connect Torswats to the calls in question, although it seems high probability. Given that it's been nearly a year since his arrest, more information has been slow in coming, and this market is both an outdated format and has only six holders, shall I just resolve as N/A?

It's unclear if the teen arrested for TorSwats is the main party running TorSwats; if TorSwats was involved in the wave of calls that came from Ethiopia; and who would be paying for their services if so. As this market is focused primarily on the calls from 2022 that were coming in waves from Ethiopia, I will extend the market while we wait for more detailed information.

I don't think we know the answer yet, so I've extended the close date.
