Resolution Criteria
This market resolves to YES if Games Workshop officially announces or releases a new edition of Warhammer 40,000 (i.e., 11th edition) before January 1, 2027. Otherwise, it resolves to NO.
Background
The current edition of Warhammer 40,000 is the 10th edition, which was released in summer 2023
Games Workshop has historically followed a roughly three-year cycle for major edition releases
Based on this pattern, the 11th edition would be expected around summer 2026
For 2025, Games Workshop is focusing on releasing new codex books for various factions within the 10th edition framework, including recent releases for Astra Militarum, Aeldari, Chaos Daemons, and Emperor's Children
Some experimental rule additions like Exigence Command Points have been introduced, which might be testing mechanics for future editions
