Meta has made some public changes to its content moderation policies, including those around speech previously considered harmful about immigrants, women and transgender people. In particular, the new policy explicitly allows statements that include:
Non-violating: "Boys are weird."
Non-violating: "Trans people aren't real. They're mentally ill."
Non-violating: "Gays are not normal."
Non-violating: "Women are crazy."
Non-violating: "Trans people are freaks."
"There's no such thing as trans children."
"God created two genders, 'transgender' people are not a real thing."
"This whole nonbinary thing is made up. Those people don't exist, they're just in need of some therapy."
"A trans woman isn't a woman, it's a pathetic confused man."
"A trans person isn't a he or she, it's an it."
This market resolves YES if Meta changes its policies again and makes any or all of the statements above forbidden again on the affected platforms; NO if there are no public changes of policy, or none that affect the status of the example statements in the next six months.
Any reasonable disagreement over the practical level of acceptability of the above statements on Meta platforms at the end of six months will result in a cancelled market.
If Meta denies that these statements were ever permitted, I'll toss a coin and either cancel the market or resolve YES.
