Just under a year ago, my partner collapsed (felt dizzy, passed out on the floor) at work with intense pain in his abdomen and it was recommended that he attend urgent care to see a doctor. When he did this, the doctor said that he had suspected gall stones, and that the episode was probably a gall stone passing. She heavily recommended that he should get an ultrasound, in case there are any more in his gall bladder which might pass, since passing another one may cause potentially fatal damage (if it's big) and also another episode of intense pain.
My partner has not had the ultrasound, owing to his own procrastination but also owing to the disorganisation of the GP surgery.
Will he regret not chasing this up and getting his ultrasound?
Other factors:
He is 24, cis-male (being AFAB is a risk factor), not overweight, active and with no family history of gallstones. He does not have diabetes/a very high cholesterol diet.
This question will resolve YES if he has another episode in a year or an alternative health issue which makes it clear that he should have had this ultrasound for the gallstones.
It will resolve NO if in the next year nothing happens.
