Used to love math contests, got bored as I got older. But this year I'm feeling a bit less bored of them and signed up for the AMC 12A. I plan to do zero prep. Will my score qualify me for the AIME anyway?
Two years ago, I took the AMC 10A and 10B and narrowly qualified for the AIME (which I abandoned in the middle to eat lunch, and needless to say didn't do that well on). I didn't take AMC (or even BAMO) last year.
[EDIT: My score on the AMC 12A was 91.5. I did not officially take the AMC 12B.]
General policy for my markets: In the rare event of a conflict between my resolution criteria and the agreed-upon common-sense spirit of the market, I may resolve it according to the market's spirit or N/A, probably after discussion.

@lag it turns out that the Proof School email to the AIME qualifiers did not Bcc them...
@ithildulin well apparently there’s an open slot to actually take it (due to @Conflict)
I do think collab solving would be fun though. I might be persuadable (market manipulation opportunity??)
@Conflux L move spoiling the fun for all of us. Thankfully I already have the test in my discord dm
AMC 12A update
Scored in the 75-100 range (almost certainly) based on comparing with friends, but on the low end. This is pretty close to the normal cutoffs, so either way it’ll be close
Unclear whether cutoffs will be higher than usual (if cheaters) or same/lower (to compensate for effect of cheaters). See /cc6/what-will-the-aime-cutoff-be-for-th-d2a7f8a55015
I had fun! So I’m trying to register late for the 12B (silly that I didn’t do this earlier just to preserve the option). Proctor says there aren’t any open slots but maybe one will emerge… (note to Proofniks: I will buy your slot for M$5000, open to negotiation)
