It all comes down to the final exam on Tuesday, worth 30% of my grade. And how much the grades are curved. Everything else is already determined.
From the syllabus:
Letter grade cutoffs will be determined at the end of the semester, and there is the possibility of an upwards curve (though not a guarantee of one).
Here's an estimate of my grades — though it's very sensitive to the final exam score... maybe this market will motivate me to study more...

@cocacola procrastinated it, then when push came to shove I got confused about PDEs and couldn't finish it as fast as I'd thought and then decided to prioritize sleep over grades
so basically I only did about half the problems. I got close to full credit on the problems I actually did

Exam graded! The exam average is 80.02% and the median is 82.5%, so at first I thought my score of 81.5 was between them (which also happened for midterm 2). But then I realized my score was 81.5/90, which is approximately 90.6%, above the average.
From the instructor:
We are now waiting for the homework graders to finish grading HW9 and then I will release final grades. The curve (if any, as decided by the department) will be applied to the final grades rather than the final exam grade here.
I'm right on the cusp of an A- without curve, and my above-average performance makes me think the curve will work in my favor. Here's an image of the grade distribution of Math 53 in the past:

@Conflux what's going on with homework 9? graders are working on that, but it doesn't have an entry (even estimated) in your spreadsheet?
@jcb Oh that was sloppy of me. I kind of elided something in my spreadsheet. There are, in fact, nine homework assignments, but the lowest two are dropped. It just so happens that my lowest two are really clear and obvious (one assignment I literally did not submit, and one I was sick so I only did one problem) so I decided to omit that for simplicity. But HW9 in the post corresponds to Homework 7 in my spreadsheet
@Conflux thanks! I guessed it was something to do with drops, but I wasn't expecting the numbers not to match. 👍
@cocacola Not better or worse than I really expected. I solved almost all the questions, but some of my solutions looked kind of weird, so I'm suspicious I made some mistakes. And I think that's consistent with my prior grade estimates
I started doing a practice exam but got apathetic in the middle. The true/false questions were weirdly hard in a way I'm suspicious they will be on the real exam, but I haven't looked at the answer key yet.
Note: for the last two tests I only did a "fake practice exam," where I listed what methods I would use to solve each problem and skipped the laborious computation. So that's my baseline; real practice exam is extra. I might transition into fake though
