I haven't eaten anything since sunset and am already fairly hungry.

I already drank some water because I was thirsty, which I view as more critical (I knew I was on track for a bad headache) and I will not be counting that against me. It's only if I ingest food before the official sunset time tomorrow (6:35 PM) that I will fail this market.

I have a complicated relationship with Judaism. I was raised Jewish but tend to consider myself more of an atheist. Still, of all the Jewish holidays, I've found Yom Kippur to be somewhat meaningful, because it makes me more grateful for my fortune in always having enough to eat. On the other hand, I only have so much willpower.

I'm certain that I could fast for Yom Kippur, but I'm not sure how principled I actually am. Since I turned thirteen, my fasting record has been like 50-50.
