Change my mind: it’s to Trump’s advantage to drag this out as long as possible. Which means there’s a significantly non-zero chance that he doesn’t choose a running mate ever. It’s not like someone is sitting on the fence “Gee I like his policies mostly but he is a little loud and I just don’t know what to do, they’re all crooks, no one cares about people like me, oh HEY he’s running with that nice Doug Burgum well THAT changes everything!”
