I'm aware that the technology for cultivating lab-grown meat exists, I'm just interested in understanding the projected timeline for when it will be commercially available for purchase in mainstream grocery stores. Example: "definitely the 2040s".
Note: A mistake on part was made when I was formulating my question type; this is not probability linked. I apologize for any confusion from the traders that placed their bets.
.
If you like, I naturally thought about it within the US, but it seems there quite a hand full of nations that are hesitant about feeding their people lab cultured food. And more or less, whatever the US does the rest of the nations follow.
Don't take my word for it, you can correct me if I'm wrong.
@ChrisAvila "whatever the US does the rest of the nations follow": I'm not sure about that — even if cultured meat became available in every single grocery store in the US tomorrow morning I'd still guess there would be a few OECD countries in which it stays banned for several years longer, possibly throughout the 2020s. Certain countries (*cough*e.g. mine*cough*) are waaay squeamish about which foods to allow people to eat, for reasons some of which you'd easily mistake for parody.
