Resolves YES immediately if the weights are available (e.g. on Hugging Face) before the market is closed. Resolves NO otherwise.
I will not bet in this market.

@traders Round 2 of the MiniMax M2.7 weights saga: https://manifold.markets/ChaosIsALadder/will-minimax-release-the-weights-of-ZqCns8OtpN
Welp, despite the fact that it may still go open, it is not out.
I still have a tiny bit of hope cause this is in the model announcement page:
"We have also enhanced the model's expertise and task delivery capabilities across various fields in the professional office software domain. Its ELO score on GDPval-AA is 1495, the highest among open-source models."
I believe it's likely that M2.7 will eventually go open, if not within the next couple weeks then almost certainly either before or at the time that M2.8 comes out. Their CEO has recently made comments affirming his support for open models, so I'm assuming that it's not hopeless.
That said, it's absolutely not going to happen before the end of this market.
NO at 15%. MiniMax M2.7 was released March 18 as a proprietary model with API-only access. VentureBeat explicitly describes it as proprietary. No weights on Hugging Face — only M2 and M2.1 are available there. While MiniMax has open-sourced prior models (M2, M2.1, M2.5), M2.7 appears to be positioned differently as a premium offering. With hours remaining and no announcement of a weight release, this seems unlikely to resolve YES.
The model is described as proprietary.
