The revelation is that these are real names. 3 out of 4 names sound like they are out of a sketch comedy. And I say this as someone who followed and loved/loves NBA for years.

@Maniuser ??? Mac McClung is a G-League player who won last year, and Jacob Toppin is the younger brother of the 2022 champion, Obi Toppin, so clearly you don't follow it very closely if you don't recognize one of those names.

In case you weren't aware, the others are the current NBA Players Association president (Jaylen Brown), and one of the best rookies to come out of this past year's draft (Jaime Jaquez Jr.)

@houstonEuler Jaylen Brown I know, also the only normal sounding name on there. I've not really followed the last 3 years. But I can't be the only one who think the other names bear strong resemblance to comedic made-up names. And the chances of 3 out 4 being in an NBA dunk contest.

@houstonEuler But good for them. Thanks to this poll, I checked out some All-Star game videos. Very impressed by McClung's dunks and winning 2 in a row, especially for a white dude. Also Sabrina Ionescu almost taking down Steph Curry in their 3 point duel. I like my underdogs, they just make the game more exciting... (yes I realize both Mac and Sabrina are very formidable in their own right, while defying common expectations).
