(HSK6 is the Chinese language proficiency exam)

For context, I learned Latin (to my satisfaction, at least) in about a year, of which most of it was done in the Summer. I studied Chinese in high-school, and am currently halfway through Volume 4 of "New Practical Chinese Reader" (NPCR). I put a lot of effort in several months ago, but have since tapered off in effor - I'm looking to get back into it now. As long as I put aside the time, I tend to be able to do about one chapter a day - there are a total of 60 lessons in the first five volumes NPCR (I will not be reading the 6th; note that either way, this is not fully equivalent to HSK6).

NB Question will resolve YES if I try to register for the HSK6 but for any administrative reason have to take the test <2 months later, provided I self-determine that I would most likely pass the test.

If I decide not to take the test formally but continue pursuing the language, question resolves based on my best-estimate of my abilities (informed by input from my native-speaker friends, and still compared to my understanding of the HSK6 criteria) at the resolution deadline.

Resolves NO if I fail the test without plans to retake it before the question-deadline, or if, having not taken the test by the question-deadline, I self-determine that I have not reached HSK6 level.

Technicalities resolve at my discretion.

Finished book 4 of NPCR, and also found flashcards for book 6, so I can now do that one too!
