Winning this market requires long-term endurance - you have to sustain your chosen side's lead in the market rather than just dumping lots of mana in all at once. However, buying your side a greater lead reduces the time you have to sustain that lead.

Once Paperclips and Staples have at least 5 traders each, the game will start. The market will resolve to Paperclips or Staples once that option has been above X% for 100-X hours, for some X greater than 50. The market's odds must not dip below X% for the entire period.

For example, an option could win by staying above 50.1% for 49.9 hours, 75% for 25 hours, or 99.9% for 6 minutes.

Once one side has won, please comment in the market explaining how. I will check the trading history and resolve the market.

I will not bet in this market.

is there any way to see more significant digits in the share price, or do i need to figure out the API?

@simoj I don't know of a way to see the exact percentage on the site.

@simoj But I had assumed we would just use the value that's displayed. It's been at 94% since 8:41 AM PDT, so I think there are about 13 minutes left.

And now the game has ended. @CDBiddulph

@TimothyJohnson5c16 That was pretty quick. Well done

The game has officially started, I believe as of April 1, 11:22 AM PST. Good luck!

And as of now, the game is afoot.

@Quroe Actually, it's not ๐Ÿ˜… Paperclips and Staples have to have 5 traders each

@CDBiddulph Ah! Gotcha.

@CDBiddulph For the sake of argument, in the event that there are exactly 5 stakeholders on each side, and I am 1 on each of them, would that trigger the start?

What if it dropped to 4 stakeholders after that?

@Quroe I'll go ahead and say that traders with positions in both sides will be ignored. However, once the start condition is triggered, it can't be untriggered.

@CDBiddulph Is it even possible to have a position on both sides at the same time? I thought they would cancel out and return your mana until you only have a position on one side.

@TimothyJohnson5c16 For science!

@TimothyJohnson5c16 And this photo also coincides. It only shows me with my foot on one side of the fence.
