@BoltonBailey what is the resolution criterion for this? Everyone I know with ChatGPT+ has access to dalle-3 by now, and from searching a bit on twitter that seems to generally be the case. Looks like there hasn't been any official OpenAI announcement about it yet though.

DALL·E 3 is now in research preview, and will be available to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise customers in October, via the API and in Labs later this fall.".
This all implies that at some point in the future, DALL-E 3 will be made available to all ChatGPT+ users, by virtue of their ChatGPT+ subscription. Are you sure that the people you know who have access don't just have it through the "research preview"?
@BoltonBailey If I were to sign up for ChatGPT+ right now, is it the contention of people here that I would immediately get access to DALL-E 3 through the ChatGPT+ webapp?
@BoltonBailey I presumably only have it because of ChatGPT+. I don’t have any other special settings on my account. As for new sign ups getting it, who knows. At the very least it’s rolling out to some ChatGPT + users, though perhaps not all. It depends on what you mean in your question by “available to ChatGPT+ customers.” It definitely is! But you may have been referring to all customers.
@jaered @BoltonBailey screenshots of my access and subscription type in the iOS app. Also have same access via browser.
@jaered It says "DALL-E New", which highly suggestive, but is not as dispositive as saying "DALL-E 3". Do you have anything on your app that explicitly says that you have the 3 version?
@BoltonBailey Perhaps they'll come out with an official announcement soon? It just seems weird to me that this is a major reason I might want to buy their product but they don't seem to have explicitly said anywhere "Yes, this is one of the things you get for subscribing".
@BoltonBailey Huh, oh yeah that is odd. I went ahead and checked the browser version on my phone and that one does explicitly say DALL-E 3. It does also now say “beta” instead of “new” though so 🤷🏻♂️
