Today, at the direction of President Trump, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) concludes its Section 301 Investigation of Brazil’s Unreasonable Acts, Policies, and Practices by imposing a 25% tariff on certain imports from Brazil.  This action follows a year-long investigation into Brazil that determined Brazil’s acts, policies, and practices to be unreasonable and burden or restrict U.S. commerce pursuant to Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974.

Will this be successfully challenged in court?

If the tax is removed by the Trump administration before legal challenges resolve, then the market will resolve NA.
