MAGA hats will outnumber GOP foam fingers 2:1 inside the convention hall

@BlueDragon This is an insane resolution the likes of which people rightfully make fun of rationalist cliques for.

@Panfilo i tagged you below where I started a discussion on this well before market close. If you have some rationale to offer that isn’t an ad hominem attack I would enjoy reading it.

Ratios are not practically interchangeable with division. For example, in rules about maximum rat feces in food products, you don’t get fined/recalled for having 0% rat feces and thus a NaN 100:0 ratio. That would be insane.

@BlueDragon Can resolve, answers provided below.

Thanks for your input I will take it into consideration 😊

A speaker leads a mid-speech prayer (not a chaplain or introduction)

Franklin Graham

I’ll listen to you on this one, but please explain, as this is a departure from the discussion below.

This guy full-on did a prayer in his speech.

Reverand Franklin Graham is a religious leader who led a prayer instead of giving a speech. My understanding from the creator of this question is that neither prayers from religious leaders nor prayers in lieu of speeches should count toward this resolution.

Chaplain /= reverend and it was a speech in a primetime speaking slot. No skin in the game for this one but just saying.

A swear word (pg13 or worse) will be uttered on mic.

Initially I was skeptical but now I am persuaded. Kid Rock calling Trump a badass is PG-13 enough that The Hill "bleeped" it in print. Resolving YES.

MAGA hats will outnumber GOP foam fingers 2:1 inside the convention hall

I am inclined to resolve this NO.

As I wrote early on in the convention, I really didn't see ANY GOP foam fingers in the crowd, JUST MAGA hats. This was a big change from previous years. Whenever MAGA hats were present, I am confident the ratio was much higher than 2:1.

surely if there are none then it's a clear YES?

Well no, few to no foam fingers would mean a ratio of higher than 2 to NaN πŸ™ƒ

well yeah. but isn't the question asking if it'll be 2:1 or higher? that's how I read it!

I would totally honor this if I hadn’t made sure to comment on it as soon as I noticed folks betting this up…

wtf?

Alright this should resolve N/A

@nikki if you have an alternative viewpoint provide your rationale, otherwise you are just trolling.

There was not a character limit at play here. It could have said β€œ2:1 or more”, but it didn’t.

I tagged you below where I flagged this when I saw people betting this up. Let’s go debate it down there.

A speaker leads a mid-speech prayer (not a chaplain or introduction)

I am inclined to resolve this NO.

Here's Leora Levy's benediction. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only time a layperson led a prayer during a speech. Her "speech" was a benediction, it started with "let us pray" and ended with "amen", and she told everyone to bow their heads, so she led a prayer. But technically it wasn't in the middle of her speech, the benediction WAS her speech, as listed in the program, so really it wasn't a speech it was a prayer. See below for the debate between @Panfilo and @10thOfficial (you both made your points well).

Still no reliable data on how many visitors this event brought to Milwaukee.
