Apparently Elon has in Jest offered to fight Mark Zuckerberg in a Cage match.
Zuckerberg has accepted on his instagram story:

The event will be apparently live streamed on X.
## NOTE
As there is talk about Elon and Zuck fighting in a Coloseum,
For this question, I define 'Cage Match' as an MMA Style Cage like this
https://stedyx.com/en/offer/131-octagon-cages/ usually seen in PayPerView events.
I don't think the Coloseum counts, but If they installed a cage in the coloseum for the event, then that would resolve "YES'.

Zuck just had ACL surgery https://www.instagram.com/p/CzMx731POlJ/

"I spent 3 hours in an MRI machine on Monday. Bottom line is that my C5/C6 fusion is solid, so not an issue. However, there is a problem with my right shoulder blade rubbing against my ribs, which requires minor surgery. Recovery will only take a few months."
@Joshua if before October, this would be the worst most disappointing PPV ever. Elon literally gassing out in under 30 seconds.
It's not impossible they would do a gym spar with Elon untrained, but wow what a wasted opportunity.
You can get an idea of what that would look like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOtEzwWX9yg&pp=ygUXTWFuIHZzIHdvbWFuIG1tYSBtY2Rvam8%3D
This should be low <20%, no coach is going to recommend someone fight without >6 months training. And Elon would have to work himself into shape just to start this training. Zuckerberg might be ready by March next year, maybe elon would be ready to go by summer next year.
It's possible that the both of them could ignore best advice from experts, but I don't think this likely.
If a date was released in 2023, I'd give a 40% chance of them actually following through.
@ElliotDavies feel free to factcheck me. Go to any mma gym and ask "how long would it take to train me to fight"
@ElliotDavies gpt4 says "1-2 years"

@ElliotDavies > It's possible that the both of them could ignore best advice from experts, but I don't think this likely.
Them actually listening to advice seems far more unlikely tbh
@ShakedKoplewitz well you need to be trained by someone, and you're likely to defer to that person. Most coaches will get frustrated if you appear to be reckless
@ElliotDavies What makes you think Elon Musk is the type of person who listens to his coach?
It's possible that the both of them could ignore best advice from experts, but I don't think this likely.
Yeah, I think it's likely for Musk given his track record with legal experts.
@jack it's possible, but both would have to do that. And it's not normal to get beaten up when you don't follow expert advice, as would be the case here
What exactly would you count as a "cage match"? Does the colloseum count?
@na_pewno see updated description. It would have to be a UFC style cage, and I don't think they have enough space to put it in with the current limited floor?

Lex Sparring with Elon... seems like Elon is really down to do this
