ie if they skip sonnet 4.6, opus 4.6, sonnet 4.7, haiku 4.6, etc
The only thing I’ll allow as ‘not a model release’ in the relevant sense is if they update opus 4.5 to have a 1 million token window or similar, like happened with sonnet 4.5 a month or two after release
Update 2026-02-03 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): If Anthropic releases two Claude text models with different version numbers (e.g., Claude 5 and Claude N where N ≠ 5) on the same day as part of the same announcement, the market will resolve N/A.
However, if Claude 5 is released alongside a non-text model (e.g., an image model), the market still resolves YES.

What if they release two at once? It's extremely unlikely, I just want to know how that edge case would resolve.
tbc that's only if they release two models one of which is claude N for some N other than 5, AND they release claude 5, on the same day as part of the same announcement. if they release claude 5 paired with some image model called claude sonnet 1 or something it still resolves YES, it's just if they release two claude text models with different numbers that this resolves N/A
