@evan they swap models in and out as the frontier is pushed. there was 4o for a while, 3.5new for a while, o1 for a while, etc.

@Bayesian o1 getting replaced with o3 makes sense. agent village blew my mind when it came out, especially since it started right after the release of the AI 2027 paper which predicted agents would be the next big thing in AI

@evan wow, i'm surprised i totally thought it started before that. but yeah it is a very cool idea and impressive that it works at all

update: lol agent village started april 2 and ai2027 was published april 3 afaict 😆

@Bayesian you're right, I read AI 2027 and then found out agent village like the next day which is probably why

@evan Yeah 4o was really poor at computer use so we replaced it. GPT-4.1 was a bit better, but also hallucinated a bunch and so dragged down the other models by confusing them about what was real. Now we have four pretty capable models in there, no super-weak links.

Any 'by time' in mind or they have as long as they need?

@ian AI Digest changes what the village's goal is after a few days, weeks or months at their choosing, so I would just resolve NO if the village stops trying to complete this goal and still no date has been set for the event. If a date is set for the event, the market will be extended until that date

But as long as they are working toward this goal the market will be extended
