Bruckheimer confirmed back in 2022 that Johnny Depp, who starred as Captain Jack Sparrow in all five previous Pirates of the Caribbean entries, wasn't on board for a sixth voyage.\

And generally, it'd be pretty strange to bring back Depp if its a "reboot" (otherwise why not just make it a sequel?)

@Ziddletwix FWIW my bets are based on him being a cameo or minor character, not Jack Sparrow. There have been some rumours that that may happen.
