Is DC a state for the purposes of this market?

predictedYES

@Lorxus DC is not a state ever. It’s federal jurisdiction.

Related, for betting on the EV, albeit with a different timeline. (Seems overpriced to me?)

Do you distinguish between state and federal indictments? Do you count DC as a state?

@NicoDelon I would imagine federal prosecution would not count, regardless of venue

predictedYES

@21eleven I would too but clarification would be appreciated.

@NicoDelon these superconductor markets are burying these others, sorry for not replying sooner. Federal charges are federal jurisdiction, so do not count toward state charges. Right now only one state has charged Trump, NY. Georgia looks like it will be second.

@BTE Thanks. That’s what I thought.

predictedNO

@ShadowyZephyr No that is the federal district not the state.

@BTE
I thought it is
Federal - overturning 2020 election
NY - Hush money
Florida - Classified documents

So there are 2 federal?

predictedNO

@ShadowyZephyr Right. Judge Cannon was appointed by Trump. That is a federal court. No charges in Florida.

predictedYES

@BTE Why can't the media get it right, they all say Florida

predictedNO

@ShadowyZephyr if you want media that gets legal minutia right, at least as it pretains to Trump indictments, I would recommend the "Serious Trouble" substack podcast
