According to DealBook: “As the activist investor Nelson Peltz formally began a proxy fight at Disney […] he’s drawing on a figure from the company’s past: Jay Rasulo, its C.F.O. from 2010 to 2015. The choice of Rasulo as a director nominee (along with Peltz) is meant to draw a contrast between the Disney of yesteryear and the company of today that faces plenty of challenges.“
@OmarB So there are two Pletz nominees including himself right now. Looks like it won’t be known until January though! Too late.
According to the NYT: “James P. Gorman, Morgan Stanley’s chief executive, and Jeremy Darroch, who formerly ran Sky, a British television company, will join Disney’s board early next year, according to a securities filing.“ and “the nominating window opens on Tuesday and runs until Jan. 4”. Perhaps, this reduces chances to nominate other board members before Jan. 1st?
@BTE No, both the new nominees are not affiliated with Peltz. According to the same article of the NYT, it is a tentative of Iger to resist Peltz.
